Who are we?

Since 2004, we have been supporting children and teenagers with their academic needs. What has grown over many years under the name MYTUTOR at five locations is now being continued under a single brand: ILS Nachhilfe. With this merger, we are combining our many years of experience and our educational standards under a unified brand—while maintaining the same personalized support and quality as before.

We offer high-quality private tutoring and professional learning coaching for students throughout Switzerland. Whether it’s short-term exam preparation for middle school students or long-term academic support for elementary and secondary school students, our experienced tutors teach math, German, French, English, and many other subjects.

To ensure long-term learning success, we place special emphasis on close collaboration between parents, students, and our teachers. Each tutoring session is tailored to the individual needs and learning goals of the students.

With locations and active tutors in Zurich, Bern, Basel, Aarau, St. Gallen, and other regions, we offer one-on-one and group tutoring in person, online, or at your home starting at 20 CHF per hour. 1. What subjects are offered at ILS Tutoring?

ILS Tutoring offers tutoring in German, French, English, math, physics, geography, accounting, biology, chemistry, statistics, and economics.

Private tutoring sessions can take place as often as you'd like. You can schedule your lessons on the days and at the times that work best for you.

Group classes in German, French, math, and English are held on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. You can find the exact class dates and times on the website.

Private tutoring sessions can be scheduled flexibly according to your preferred times from Monday through Saturday. You have complete freedom in choosing your appointment times. Group classes are held on Wednesday and Friday afternoons or on Saturdays. You can find the exact class schedules on our website.

If you're taking one-on-one tutoring, you can get started anytime. We'll set up your course as soon as possible. Our group courses start in August and run throughout the school year (excluding school breaks). You can join an existing group at any time!

Private tutoring sessions at ILS Nachhilfe can take place either at our locations in Bern, Basel, Aarau, Zurich, and St. Gallen, or at the student’s home. For in-home tutoring, an additional fee of CHF 20 per session will be charged. Group courses are held at our institute locations.

If you're not satisfied with your teacher, we're always ready to find a suitable solution and talk to them. If you just don't click with them, we can replace the teacher and arrange for someone else to teach your course.

You can take one-on-one tutoring in all of the subjects listed. We also offer group classes in German, French, English, and math. You can find detailed information about the group classes on our website.

The groups at ILS Tutoring consist of a maximum of 5 students.

The cost of a course depends on the type and duration of the course, as well as the grade level. You can find all prices for private and group lessons on our website under the "Prices and Registration" section. At ILS Nachhilfe, you’ll receive a volume discount: the longer and more lessons you book, the cheaper your course will be.

At ILS Tutoring, you always have the option to attend a no-obligation trial lesson, whether it's a one-on-one or group lesson. To schedule an appointment, contact our office or visit the Trial Lessons page on our website.

You can conveniently pay for your booked course by invoice or bank transfer within the specified time frame.

If a class (group or private) is canceled for organizational reasons on our part, that class will be rescheduled.

There are no group classes during the City of Zurich's school breaks. Private lessons can also be scheduled during the breaks by individual arrangement.

All of our tutors hold at least a bachelor's degree. If you'd like a tutor with a specific qualification, please let us know.

Group classes at ILS Tutoring are designed to review and prepare students for the current school curriculum at their respective grade levels. In addition, students are always welcome to bring their own materials and ask questions about homework or class material.

In private lessons, the content can be tailored completely to your needs. The teacher will help you delve deeper into the material you want to cover and prepare practice materials that are right for you.

Homework help is offered every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. For registered students (enrolled in at least 4 lessons per week), homework help is free of charge. If you’d like to sign up for homework help only, feel free to contact us at any time.

Registration for group courses is usually for one or two semesters. However, if you join later in the semester, you can, of course, register for a shorter period.

Private lessons can generally be taken for as long as necessary.

If you realize that you don't need to use all your lessons at once, they won't expire. You can either use the lessons at a later date, or we'll issue you a credit for the remaining lessons.

At ILS Tutoring, there is no registration fee. You only pay for your course.

In the group classes, you’ll benefit from a two-week trial period. During this time, you can cancel your enrollment if you’re not satisfied. You’ll then only be charged for the classes you’ve attended.

With private lessons, you can enjoy a free, no-obligation trial lesson.
